At the start of November I cancelled my Adobe Creative Cloud membership, and with that I lost access to Photoshop and Lightroom. The latter hasn't been an issue as I have gone ahead moved to Flare 2 for editing (mostly on my iPad). However I have recently started a new photo project which involves the need to stitch many photos into one large image — I was worried I would need Photoshop for this.
Just today (01-01-2015) I went out and shot a series of images and used the app to create a large (9568 x 5559 pixel) image out of a series of images shot on my X100T. After stitching the image here is the result:
I processed the image with the Plane setting. As you can see it is a pretty good stitch, but since I forgot to shoot in full manual my camera adjusted it's settings one or two images into the shot. So about a third of the way into the image there is a noticeable blue line in the sky. Crap.
I took the image over to Pixelmatr and cleaned it up with the healing brush, which got me here:
Now I have a nice clean image. I then tossed the photo into Flare and ran a little filter over it. Which netted me:
Overall the process was much faster than I thought it would be, and I am pretty happy with the results.
